Wild Fermented Sodas: Crafting Fizzy Drinks with Ginger Bug & Kombucha
Spring & Summer 2025
In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn how to create delicious, effervescent beverages using natural fermentation methods using a ginger bug, and kombucha. We'll explore the art of wild fermentation, utilizing local fruits, herbs, and other botanicals to craft unique and flavorful sodas right in your own kitchen.
What You'll Learn:
▪️Understand the basics of fermentation and its health benefits.
▪️Learn how to create and maintain a ginger bug starter.
▪️Dive into the world of kombucha, from brewing to bottling.
▪️Experiment with seasonal and local fruits, herbs, and spices and develop your own signature soda recipes.
▪️Learn about safe fermentation practices and troubleshoot common fermentation issues.


Pickles and Ferments
Summer & Fall, 2025
Dive into the world of pickles and ferments in this fun hands-on class. This workshop is run throughout the summer and fall utilizing local ingredients that are in season and at their peak ripeness. Each classis unique as we use what is in season and at its peak for flavour, and nutrition! We will make a delicious quickle (or refrigerator pickle), and a selection of fermented vegetables, chat about the difference between fermenting and pickling, and class also includes a light farm style lunch we enjoy as a group.
Learn How to Grow Your Own Food
Starting March 2025
Here on the farm, we grow everything without the use of store-bought soil, pesticides or fertilizers. If you've been wanting to learn the basics of growing your own fruit and veggies and want to get your hands in the dirt, then why don't you come down to the farm and volunteer! We always have lots to do in the spring, summer & fall seasons so there's always something to learn!
