Service Description

In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn how to create delicious, effervescent beverages using natural fermentation methods: ginger bug, and kombucha. We'll explore the art of wild fermentation, utilizing local fruits, herbs, and other botanicals to craft unique and flavorful sodas right in your own kitchen. What You'll Learn: ▪️Understand the basics of fermentation and its health benefits. ▪️Learn how to create and maintain a ginger bug starter. ▪️Dive into the world of kombucha, from brewing to bottling. ▪️Experiment with seasonal and local fruits, herbs, and spices and develop your own signature soda recipes. ▪️Learn about safe fermentation practices and troubleshoot common fermentation issues. What you take home with you: A ginger bug or kombucha scoby to take home to continue fermenting. A bottle of your own flavourful soda that you made during class. A handbook with recipes and tips and tricks when working with wild fermented drinks. The confidence to continue your home brewing journey to a newer healthier alternative than sugar filled sodas! This class is great to do with friends and is a great day out on the farm! It runs for approx. 4 hours and includes a light farm style lunch.
