Pickles and Ferment Class
Learn how to use locally grown ingredients to make delicious pickles and fermented beverages!
Service Description
We dive into the world of pickles and ferments in this fun class. This workshop is run throughout the summer and fall utilizing local ingredients that are in season and at their peak ripeness. What exactly we use for each class may differ based on what is in season in terms of availability, flavour, and nutrition! We will make a delicious quickles (or refrigerator pickle), and a selection of fermented vegetables, chat about the difference between fermenting and pickling, and includes a light farm style lunch we enjoy as a group. This class is great to do with friends, and is a great day out on the farm! It runs for approx 4 hours.
